Skyranger history The Skyranger was created by Philippe Prevot in Toulouse, the capital of the French aeronautical industry in the mid 90,s. Studies were partly done by one of the most respected aeronautical schools, ENSICA and SUP AERO. The aim of the design was to produce a high performance microlight aeroplane of the simplest possible construction to be mounted and checked and repaired by anybody .With only straight tubes and no welding , it has been achieved... 198 Skyranger has been manufactured in France from 1992 to 1997 under licence by SYNAIRGIE. The Skyranger is today partly manufactured under licence by Aeros Itd in the Ukraine, by ex Antonov engineers, to very high standards. 1000 planes are now flying all arround the world. The SKYRANGER it's also: -a spacious and modern cockpit -a good visibility from inside also with the closed doors. -a climbing rate from 3m/s with 50 hp to near 6m/s with 80 hp. -a cruising speed from 120 km/h with 50 hp to 150 with 80 hp (75 %) -a soft stall and very low loss af altitude -a float version with a climbing rate of 3.5m/s with 65 hp and so pleasant to fly. -the possibility of foalding the wings with 2 people in 20 mn .
